"We are VIER!" – Saskia Miller, VIER UI Developer

What does Saskia Miller's everyday life as a VIER UI Developer look like? She told us!

Hello Saskia  – how long have you been part of VIER?
I've been with VIER since February 2018, so over 5 years.

You are a UI developer – what exactly do you do in your day-to-day work?
I conceptualise, design and develop user interfaces for our products and product features. The logic of the software is then implemented by the developers.

What do you particularly like about your job?
I think it's great to work comprehensively on a project, i.e. to have been involved from the development of the wireframes to the finished feature in the web app.

What experience and skills from previous jobs help you in your work?
I have been using a computer since I was 4 years old. Back then, I learned my ABCs and created my first graphics with "KidPix". Later I sat in my mother's advertising agency and did my homework. When I was done, the programmers taught me Flash animation and ActionScript. I knew early on that I wanted to do something with computer science and graphics. I think my fate was sealed with that ;-)

When you look back on your life so far: Is there anything that has totally surprised you or that you would never have expected?
Yes, actually two things! I never thought that I would find the love of my life, or a person who is my soulmate. And that the birth of my daughter would turn my whole life upside down.
