0137 & 0138 in use as MABEZ

Definition "MABEZ"

Mass Traffic to Specific Destinations (ger. "Massenverkehr zu bestimmten Zielen" or MABEZ) is offered for voting and opinion polls via the special call numbers 0137and 0138. These special numbers are characterised by a high traffic volume (up to 100,000 connections per minute) in one or more time intervals and only very short connection duration in each case. Usually the MABEZ call is acknowledged with an automatic announcement. ("Your call has been counted, please hang up!"). The MABEZ services under 0137 and 0138 thus replaced the previously used TED.
